Interpretive Lyric
THE BRIEF:
Interpret the lyrics of a chosen song into an expressive booklet, using only type and color for visual elements.
I chose the song “Never too Late”, an upbeat, contemporary number performed by Elton John and with Zulu backing vocals by Lebo M. I aimed to translate the inspirational, fun energy of the piece with oranges and bright browns for color, and dynamic, traveling type that overlaps between the lead singer and chorus.
