The Path of Your Phone
THE BRIEF:
Create a large horizontal poster informing the timeline of a smartphone’s existence, from raw material extraction to its end of life (by options of disposal or reuse).
I wanted to emphasize the environmental impact of this process, making it a primary visual on both ends that a phone’s life cycle starts, and usually ends, with fire. This was my first time using an isometric grid to one of my pieces, and I found using a simplified, blocky style helped unify the different visuals from natural trees to factory smoke.
